The Miami Dolphins are looking to solidify their offensive by signing a new running back. After a slightly disappointing season last year, the Dolphins are trying to bolster their squad.
Currently, the Dolphins have not found a solid target; however, they are looking for options. They may have found a solid option who is interested in moving.
The Dolphins are reportedly looking for a Pro-Bowl level running back. Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Jones is one of the candidates that they are considering.

And it seems like Jones is interested in joining the Dolphins as well. The player could help the franchise add another offensive option, while also providing some coverage for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
However, the move will not be easy to pull off. Currently, the Dolphins do not have enough space in their salary cap to sign a player of Aaron Jones’ caliber.
A former Pro-Bowl player like Jones will demand a high salary, something the Dolphins cannot give him under the current, or even the expanded salary cap limitations.

Miami Dolphins want to bring in Jones
Jones is coming off the best season of his career. He was named to the Pro-Bowl, and he was crucial to the Green Bay Packers’ season.
Jones was one of the best players for the Packers as they reached the NFC championship game. They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and subsequently missing out on the Super Bowl. The Buccaneers ended up winning the Super Bowl.
For the Dolphins, they have several decisions to make ahead of the start of the season. Firstly, their main focus will be on deciding who they want to make their primary quarterback – Tua Tagovailoa or Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Both players performed well over the course of the season. But clearly only one can stay, while the other will not be willing to come off the bench.
Will the Dolphins get Aaron Jones before the next season? They will have to make quite a lot of space in their salary cap to bring him in.

Furthermore, they will have to plan out the rest of their roster if they are planning to bring in Jones, given how rigid their salary restrictions.
