Legends are not born, they are forged through a relentless pursuit of excellence. Tennis maestro Novak Djokovic has cemented his place in the chapter of legends. Djokovic has now won more grand slams than all the previous greats of his sport. And this unwavering dominance is something the Serbian shares with retired NFL icon Tom Brady. However, winning championships isn’t the only thing in common between the two.
American tennis legend Jim Courier put Djokovic and 7x Super Bowl champion Brady in the same boat, not just in terms of dominance, but also in their sheer longevity. While Brady may have finally put his playing career to rest, the Serbian is showing no immediate signs of stopping. And Courier thinks there is much more that Djokovic has to offer.

There aren’t many athletes who can match up to former NE Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his decorated silverware collection. Having won his last championship at 43, Brady has set the standards too high. However, if anyone comes close to his supreme triumphs, it’s Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic won his 23rd grand slam title this month when he won the French Open. It’s been a year of victories for the Serbian as he also clinched the US Open and the Wimbledon before that. And at 36, Djokovic isn’t saying goodbye to tennis anytime soon, according to former court icon Jim Courier. “I don’t think Djokovic is going anywhere. He’s got Tom Brady mentality. He still wants to be winning these things when he’s 40,” Courier said, as per Forbes.

Novak Djokovic confirmed Courier’s predictions, as the mission is nowhere close to being completed. “Of course, the journey is still not over. I feel if I’m winning Slams, why even think about ending the career that already has been going on for 20 years? So I still feel motivated, I still feel inspired to play the best tennis in these tournaments,” the Tennis titan said.
Despite refusing to call himself the GOAT of tennis, fans put the chants in the works when Djokovic greeted TB12 after winning at the Roland Garros this year.

The celebrities came out in packs for the French Open final this year. From F1 racers to soccer greats, Djokovic had some star-studded support in the crowd. However, no one got better seats than NFL legend Tom Brady, who sat in the Serbian’s box with his wife Jelena. Besides thanking Brady and the rest for coming out, Djokovic even went ahead and greeted the 15x Pro Bowler after claiming the title against Casper Ruud.
