The Super Bowl is just days away now. The team are set and the players are ready. The Kansas City Chiefs versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium.

While each team has its set of fans rooting for them, there’s a clear favorite among the neutrals regarding which team will win the game. And that team are the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dominating through the regular season and the playoffs, many expect the game to be a one-sided affair in favor of the Chiefs. But according to former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, the result might not be as lopsided as many predict it to be.

Super Bowl match up should be a tight affair

During a segment of Undisputed, Sharpe said that the Super Bowl match up is going to be closer than many others think it to be. The Chiefs are said to have the better roster, but the Buccaneers aren’t far behind.

In fact, he believes that Tampa Bay has the more talented roster at its disposal.

Patrick Mahomes is going to have to play one of his better games. Because if he doesn’t Tampa Bay has more than enough talent to beat them,” he said.

He even said that if Tom Brady and the Buccaneers manage to win this game, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to him.

“If they lose this game, this is not going to be the monumental upset that people think it’s going to be. This is not the Patriots upsetting the greatest show on turf, the Rams (in 2001)… This is not the the New York Jets beating the other Colts in Super Bowl III. This is a very talented football team,” Sharpe said.

“I don’t believe the Chiefs as talented as the Buccaneers. So Patrick Mahomes is gonna have to play one of his better games. Spagnuolo is gonna have to dial up one of his better defensive game plan because Tampa will be ready to play,” he added.
