As per Hill, he was a soccer player at the beginning of his career and he had to quit playing soccer to pursue a career in the NFL. Safe to say, he did extremely well, as many regard him as one of the best wide receivers in the league.
Tyreek Hill talks about his regret
Earlier, the Dolphins’ wide receiver took to Twitter and posted, “Should of kept playing soccer the energy be so electric.“
It is worth noting that, many NFL stars started their career as soccer players. Then, they transitioned into football and pursued their dreams in the NFL, one of the most popular leagues in the world. Apart from Hill. Odell Beckham Jr., Wes Welker, Chad Johnson, Ndamukong Suh, Karl Joseph, and many others came from a soccer background.
Undoubtedly, they are some of the best athletes in the league and if they pursued their careers as soccer players, they could be playing for their national team right now in the FIFA World Cup. At least, Hill believes that, and he talked about the great energy in the crowd as well.

US team would crush if the athletes in the NFL played soccer. I have no doubt in that.

Interestingly, one fan thinks Hill still has a chance to make it in soccer, as he’s only 28 years old. Moreover, the fan feels Hill just needs to play soccer regularly for one year and wants Hill to go for it.
Bro you’re a millionaire. And you’re only 28. You could totally be a soccer player. If your skill level is still there, why not? You already got that bag. I bet if you spent a year training for soccer, you could transition over. Life is short. Go for it

Meanwhile, a few fans feel Hill chose the right path, as one fan tweeted:
No you chose correctly. Leave soccer for the kids and women. Football is something very few have the heart and skill to do. As much as your speed gets credited the toughness of a slot reciever is legendary. It takes a warrior to come across that middle and stay focused.

One fan feels it was unpatriotic of him.
This is a disgusting and unpatriotic tweet that I demand you delete immediately
