Harry Kane has been one of the most respected soccer players in England. With his several accolades in goal scoring and his slow approach to beating records, Kane is one of the most inspiring players. However, the legend of soccer seems to have something else in mind for his career. While he has done a great job in representing clubs and his country in the game of soccer, he might just want to move to another sport.
Yes, the great Hary Kane might just want to move from Europe and pursue a career in the sport of football. Recently, Kane has gone on to mention that he might want a second career in sports, playing as one of the important cogs in an NFL team.

In the past, Kane has mentioned his passion for the NFL. He has mentioned how he has been following the league for about 10 years. Interestingly, the soccer player has even mentioned that he draws some inspiration from Tom Brady. Amidst his love for the NFL, lies his willingness to become a kicker. As per NBC Sports, he said, “I know it’ll be a lot of hard work. I’m not expecting to just walk up and start kicking field goals. It will be a lot of practice, a lot of hard work but, yeah, it’s something I’d love to do.” Seemingly, the soccer player wants to become a kicker in the league.
Interestingly, the passionate dream might just end up remaining a wish. It would be hard for Kane to turn away from soccer. Especially considering the fact that he earns about $12.5 million per year. Sadly, he won’t come anywhere close to that if he decides to pursue becoming a kicker.

While as a soccer player, Kane mints tens of millions, it is very unlikely that he’ll be able to earn the same if he takes up the spot of a kicker. While the kicker traditionally uses his ‘foot’ while playing football, they’re one of the most overlooked positions. Positions as dynamic as quarterbacks and wide receivers are the ones that are usually the highest-paid positions in the NFL. However, a kicker or a punter is only called to score field goals and punt the ball.
His job is relatively simpler when it is compared to slinging passes and weaving routes through defenders. If Kane does decide to make a second sports career as a kicker, he will not be earning his usual salary. In fact, he’ll be earning somewhere close to or perhaps even lower than $2.5 million, considering that that is the average salary of a kicker.
All in all, if Kane decides to come to the NFL, he will be doing so out of passion, because his pay as a soccer player will not be matched. It only remains to be seen if Kane actually goes through with his words or if it’s just wishful thinking.
