Brady plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. The franchise owners Glazer family also own soccer giants Manchester United, the club Ronaldo used to play for.
Tom Brady predicted the CR7 downfall
When Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview about the affairs at Manchester United came out, Tom Brady reacted to it in his podcast. He said he watched his close friend’s interview, and he was saying his truths.“I watched an interview with Cristiano Ronaldo and Piers Morgan this, I think it was last week right before the World Cup. And he was in his mind, you know, saying a lot of things, his truths,” Brady said on one of the episodes of his ‘Let’s Go’ Podcast.

The Buccaneers QB then cautioned the soccer star about the ramifications of the interview. “But you know, now there’s ramifications for that, with his team and the repercussions for that. So how do you, did you ever look back and go, ‘Oh, sh*t, I shouldn’t have said that.’ Or ‘Oh, sh*t. I didn’t realize it would cost me that,” Brady added.
And in truth, everything indeed has gone downhill for Cristiano Ronaldo since that interview.
What happened to Cristiano Ronaldo?
Over the years, Cristiano Ronaldo has established himself as one of the greatest ever in the world of soccer. Just like Tom Brady in the NFL. But since his explosive interview about his relationship with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, everything is going wrong. In that interview, Ronaldo said he didn’t respect ten Hag as the United head coach did not respect him. He also said many things about the state of affairs at the club.

After the interview, United terminated Ronaldo’s contract, leaving him without a club just before the World Cup. Even during the FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo faced many questions about the interview. Even the Portuguese head coach benched Ronaldo after the group stage. He played as a substitute in the knockout rounds. Overall, CR7 managed just one goal in the entire tournament. And his team got knocked out in the quarterfinals by minnows Morocco.
Very sad to see @Cristiano in tears as his dream of winning the World Cup ended. Those mocking him should remember what he’s done for football. For me, he’s the 🐐- and a great guy who’s had the toughest year of his life on & off the pitch. He’s earned our respect. pic.twitter.com/CCH8ggHkTv
