The Nick Saban-led Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team made their way to yet another National Championship title on Sunday. This was the veteran coach’s 6th National Championship win.
Alabama maintained their perfect record as they defeated Ohio State by a 52-24 scoreline on the weekend. Who was their star performer? None other than Heisman Trophy winner, DeVonta Smith.
The in-demand wideout wreaked havoc on Ohio at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. On 12 receptions, DaVonta Smith had 215 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. He truly finished his senior year as the most successful college football wide receiver of all time.

The youngster garnered massive plaudits on social media, from fans and celebrities alike, after his dazzling display in the National Championship Final.

LeBron James lauds DeVonta Smith after National Championship win
One of the most popular sports personalities to take notice of DeVonta was Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James. King James, a staunch Cleveland Browns fan, took to Twitter to express his admiration for the rumored Miami Dolphins target.

It wasn’t only the 4-time NBA Champion who took notice of Smith. Various NFL players also jumped on the DeVonta Smith applause bandwagon with various social media posts.

There are multiple outlets claiming that the Dolphins are eyeing DeVonta in the offseason. Coach Brian Flores is reportedly keen to reunite Tua Tagovailoa with his former Alabama Crimson teammate.
