There was a lot of concern regarding Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Texas-born quarterback was at the receiving end of a tough tackle at the hands of Browns linebacker Mack Wilson during last weekend’s Divisional Round tie at the Arrowhead. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a concussion.
The 2018 NFL MVP was a limited participant in practice throughout the week. However, he revealed that he cleared the league’s concussion protocol on Friday and will be eligible to feature this weekend.

The topic of discussion on the latest segment of GMFB was Patrick Mahomes and his unfortunate concussion injury from last weekend. NFL insider, Mike Garafolo, has his qualms regarding Mahomes’ overall physical health.
He said, “He was cleared by an independent neurologist yesterday, and he will play on Sunday, no concern at this point about the head.
“The only concern is with the toe, which has bothered him or did bother him the other day and is something that they’re keeping an eye on. I mean, he’s gonna play, there’s no question about that, he doesn’t have any injury status.

“But will he be affected by that? And what happens maybe if he tweaks it during the course of the game? That’s a storyline for Patrick Mahomes to watch,” Garafolo told GMFB on Saturday.
The Chiefs’ faithful will not read too much into this analysis from Mike. This is not the first time that the odds are against Mahomes and certainly won’t be the last.
