The city of Cleveland is buzzing again. And why wouldn’t it be? Their beloved Cleveland Browns have made the Playoffs after an 18-year-long hiatus.
And the reasons for celebration don’t stop at just that. In their first playoff game in ages, they sealed a memorable victory against division rivals Pittsburgh Steelers. The win ultimately booked them a spot in the Divisional Round.
Just 2 games away from making the Super Bowl, the road only gets tougher from here on. As for the Browns, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs await.

A nearly insurmountable task on paper. But as we all know, in the NFL Playoffs, anything is possible. And if the Browns do manage to pull off what would be the greatest upset in recent history.
Baker Mayfield, the key factor for the Cleveland Browns
Since being drafted #1 overall in 2018, Mayfield has been viewed as the man to break the Browns’ QB curse. Progressing through each season, Mayfield has finally hit his stride with new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski at the helm.
Once a turnover machine, the former Heisman winner is now proving to be a handful for opposition defenses. Guiding the Browns to a win with a 3-TD performance against the Steelers, Mayfield is in the zone.

And according to one interesting stat, a win for him against the Chiefs would suggest the Browns getting their hands on the Lombardi Trophy.

As per ESPN, Baker Mayfield is only the 8th #1 overall drafted QB in the Common Draft era (since 1967) to win a playoff game in his first attempt.
Though 5 of them went on to lose their next game, the ones who won ended up winning it all. The 2 who won a Super Bowl in their first playoff runs as starters were Troy Aikman (Dallas Cowboys) and Jim Plunkett (Raiders franchise).

While getting to the Divisional Round is an achievement in itself for a franchise which went 0-16 just 3 years ago, the Dawg Pound will be hungry for more success now that they’ve gotten used to the taste of success.
