Tom Brady confirmed an appearance in his 10th Super Bowl at the age of 43. The veteran NFL quarterback continues to defy expectations on a regular basis. He is now in line to win a record-setting 7th championship ring over a career spanning 20-odd years. But Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face a tough challenge in the form of defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Buccaneers pulled off a stunning win over Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers, in the NFC Championship game. Brady won his first NFC title in his debut season for the Buccaneers. By contrast, Rodgers has the same championship tally after spending almost 15 years in the NFC.
But, there’s another young QB making waves down in the AFC who goes by the name, Patrick Mahomes. At the age of 25, Mahomes is already a Super Bowl winner and an NFL MVP. He was also voted as Super Bowl LIV MVP last season as the Chiefs beat San Francisco 49ers in Miami. He is already being compared to Brady, which makes this weekend’s season finale even more exciting.

Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes face-off at Super Bowl LV
Yes, Tom Brady is the GOAT. But if the Bucs win next week, that doesn't mean Mahomes can never surpass him…because…I know this is crazy…but….QUARTERBACKS AREN'T THE ONLY PLAYERS ON THE FIELD. pic.twitter.com/uQGvu2ycct

Mahomes has quite a distance to make up for if he wants to catch Brady. Winning a Championship ring is not easy. Winning 7 is next to impossible. This is precisely why some critics are claiming that Mahomes definitely needs to beat TB12 on February 7, 2020, or he may never dethrone the latter as the ‘Greatest of All Time’.
But NFL analyst Mina Kimes disagrees. When questioned about the Brady vs Mahomes match-up, she replied, “Now I understand that seven rings… is quite an accomplishment and it’ll be very hard for Patrick Mahomes to catch that.”

“But if he does, or if he comes close, we can evaluate these guys based on their individual accomplishments. quarterbacks don’t play other quarterbacks. They play defenses. That’s how football works and I’m tired of pretending they’re the only players on the field,” Kimes said on the show.
Mahomes is having yet another stellar year with Kansas City. His chemistry with Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill remains intact. The Chiefs’ defense is performing at a high level. In short, Andy Reid’s boys are more than prepared to defend their title.
