Josh Allen is coming off a spectacular season. The Bills quarterback helped lead the team to a fantastic 13-3 record in the entire NFL, tied for second best with NFL leaders Green Bay Packers. Last weekend, he was at the helm as the Bills made history by defeating the Colts, earning their first playoff win since 1995. Now they face Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

Ahead of their clash with the Bills, Ravens’ defensive coordinator Don Martindale spoke to the press. When asked about the offensive threat Josh Allen provides, Martindale sounded a stern warning to the Bills’ franchise player.

“He knows that there is going to be pressure, that’s for sure. That’s who we are. That’s what we’ve done.”
Much like the Bills, the Ravens also got their first playoff win in a long time. Star quarterback Lamar Jackson has often faced criticism for not being able to win a playoff game. Jackson silenced many of these critics as he led the Ravens to a 20-13 win over the Tennessee Titans in the wildcard round last weekend.

Josh Allen ready to jump to the next level
Martindale’s words, however, will not sit well with Allen and the Bills. Throughout his time with the Buffalos, Allen has been underestimated. And while Martindale took nothing away from Allen’s ability, he hinted that he will prepare his defensive unit to keep him quiet throughout the game.
Allen is coming off the back of an excellent season with the Bills. He completed a career-high 69% of his passes, averaged almost 8 yards per pass, and threw for 37 touchdowns throughout the season. He was the driving force behind the Bills’ excellent record in the AFC, and he helped them take the top spot in the NFC East division.

For Allen, this season was a break-out year. He averaged a career-high in almost every statistical category possible. His name is now being mentioned among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL like Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, and Aaron Rodgers. And Allen will want to prove in the playoffs that he is worth the hype.

Can the Bills continue their incredible season with a win over the Baltimore Ravens? It will be a tough task, especially with Lamar Jackson playing some of the best football of his life. But if Josh Allen continues his spectacular run of form, there could be no stopping the Bills.
