The NFL quarterback carousel is now in full swing. With stars like Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff, and Carson Wentz already making moves to new franchises, more big-time moves are expected to take place in the weeks to come.

And now there’s a new trade angle emerging. Russell Wilson to the Chicago Bears. The Bears are one of those franchises that have struggled to land a genuine franchise quarterback for decades now.

But a trade for Wilson could change all that. But how realistic is this move? Are there any concrete chances of things working out? Or is this just another one to add to the rumor mill?

We believe this one could have some legs to it.

Chicago Bears could go all out for Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is yet to ask for a trade from the Seattle Seahawks. But that doesn’t necessarily mean all is good in Seattle. Wilson has been open about his disgruntlement regarding the franchise’s O-Line woes.

And many believe Russell Wilson has every right to be unhappy with how things have been going in Seattle. No quarterback has been sacked more times than Wilson ever since he’s been drafted by the franchise.

And as per the player’s agent, the Bears are one of the franchises Wilson would be willing to be traded to if he is to ultimately move away from Seattle.

And as fate would have it, the Chicago Bears are a team looking for a player of Wilson’s caliber. The city of Chicago has been in desperate need of a quarterback, and Wilson undoubtedly would be the sort of player the franchise has been vying for.

How can the Bears make this work?

The Bears have experimented with the likes of Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles in recent seasons and experienced varied success. And thus landing Wilson should be their main goal for this offseason.

And thankfully for the Bears, certain things are in their favor. Chicago Bears tight end is a close friend to Wilson and is playing a key role in convincing Wilson to make the switch.

Chicago, too, is a city known for its crazy football fans. Having been suffering a Super Bowl drought for over 3 decades, Wilson could single-handedly lead the franchise to glory, winning Super Bowl #2.
