The Green Bay Packers find themselves in a bit of a soup. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future with the franchise uncertain, many in the Packers camp are not happy about the situation. And one among them is wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams was a star for the Packers in 2020. With 18 touchdowns, the wide receiver earned his first All Pro selection last season. And he credits a lot of his success to his quarterback.

Davante Adams has been vocal about his admiration for Aaron Rodgers. In a recent interview, Adams said he’d “scream on the mountaintop that I got his (Rodgers) back.”
But there’s something else that Adams said that might give Packers fans sleepless nights. If the prospect of Aaron Rodgers leaving the franchise wasn’t enough to deal with already, Adams claiming that the future of his QB could potentially affect his career choices is something that will surely make the Packers faithful lose their mind.
Aaron Rodgers’ decision could affect Davante Adams
While Davante Adams declared that he would turn up for Packers’ training camp regardless of what happens with Aaron Rodgers, the QB’s future is sure to affect the wide receiver’s as well.

Earlier while appearing on ‘The Herd’, Adams had admitted that Rodgers leaving Green Bay could make him consider his choices as he enters the final year of his contract with the Green Bay Packers.
A whole host of teams would be interested in taking on a player of Davante Adams’ caliber. A perennial Pro Bowler, Davante Adams is entering the prime years of his career.
And as recently as today, one NFL quarterback put forward his desire to link up with Adams. Talking to ABC, Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr said he wishes to play with his former college teammate once again in the NFL.

“I would always welcome playing with him again. I think it would unlock some things in both of us that people haven’t seen yet. And I’m always open to that and I will be recruiting very hard. So when that time comes, it will be a full-court press,” said Carr.

Carr is well aware that a trade for Davante Adams is a near impossibility. The wide receiver is ready to play for the Packers in 2021 and the franchise too will not be entertaining any calls for their star wideout.
But next season should be interesting. A lot will play out depending on how the Aaron Rodgers saga unravels.
