The 2020 Tokyo Olympics is now coming to an end. The 19-day long sporting event wraps up today in Tokyo with the USA once again shining through. With 39 Gold medals, the nation finished the Olympic games sitting pretty on top of the medal tally.?

USA’s overall tally of 113 medals is by far the most by any country participating in the Tokyo Games. But till August 7, China held the top spot thanks to marginally pippin the US for total Gold medals.

Entering the final day of the games, the US had 36 Gold medals as compared to China’s 38. But in an emphatic manner, the US contingent clawed their way to the top by winning three golds to overtake China.?

And the nation can thank their basketball contingent for two of those Gold medals. Winning Gold in both the Men’s and Women’s events, the US once again asserted their dominance in the sport of Basketball.?

And even though gridiron football is not an Olympic event, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady couldn’t help but join in on celebrating the NBA Draymond Green and the US Basketball team for their success.

Green gets a call from Tom Brady following Olympic glory

Despite getting off to a rocky start at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the US men’s basketball team rallied back to take Gold once again. Beating France in the finals, a lot of the players on the roster earned their first Olympic Gold.?

For Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green though, this is his second taste to Olympic Gold. Being part of the 2016 roster which took home Gold at Rio, Green further established his legacy as an all-time great.?

And if there was ever any doubt about Green’s greatness, Tom Brady cleared it out. The seven-time Super Bowl champion who is regarded by many to be the best to have ever played the sport facetimed Green to congratulate on his and the team’s success.?

Green took a screenshot of their call and went on to post the picture on Instagram along with a humorous caption. “You get a call from the GOAT… act normal… everything is Golden!”

Brady is known for his fun-loving attitude. But it’s his competitive spirit that has helped him exceed expectations time and again over the years. And it seems that greatness recognizes greatness.
