What’s the buzz about Detroit’s Aidan Hutchinson? The standout rookie, a rising star in the NFL, caught everyone’s attention with his incredible one-handed interception. But does this Wolverine’s product live up to the hype? With Tampa Bay’s rise at 3-1, OT Luke Goedeke is not so impressed!

While DE Hutchinson’s one-handed grab against the Panthers made headlines and propelled the Lions to a 42-24 victory, Bucs’ right tackle, Goedeke, doesn’t seem too impressed. He acknowledges Hutchinson’s athleticism and speed, but he’s quick to put other NFL pass rushers ahead of him in his rankings.

In a recent interview, Goedeke asserted that he’d rate Danielle Hunter above Aidan Hutchinson. That’s despite the rookie’s jaw-dropping interception. “I mean, there’s elite pass rushers all over this league,” Goedeke stated confidently. “I’ve already faced Danielle Hunter, and I would put him above Aidan Hutchinson, to be honest, and Cam Jordan.”

Goedeke’s stance isn’t meant to disrespect Hutchinson, though. He recognizes the rookie’s talent, commending his skills and hard work. “Just hat’s off to him; he definitely works his tail off,” Goedeke admits.

Hutchinson, the Lions’ rookie sensation out of Michigan, is making waves in the NFL. With 15 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and an interception, he’s proving to be a relentless force on the field. Standing tall at 6’7″ and 268 pounds, he almost clinched the top rookie defender award last year, narrowly losing to Sauce Gardner.

The draft missed out on Aidan Hutchinson

Michigan’s head coach, Jim Harbaugh, has also chimed in, asserting that Hutchinson should have been the number one pick in the draft. “I did comment that Aidan Hutchinson should be the No. 1 pick in the draft.” – Recently, HC Jim Harbaugh said. This beast of a player, Aidan Hutchinson drafted by the Lions in 2022, is just 23 years old but has already outshone the top pick, Travon Walker.
