The Philadelphia Eagles are currently riding on a mean streak, as they have managed to become one of the three unbeaten teams in the NFL. By the last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s become quite apparent that the Eagles are a well-rounded team. The Eagles WR AJ Brown caught 8 catches across 131 yards on the offense side of things, while the Running Back D’Andre Swift committed 17 touches and had approximately 8.1 yards per carry, handling the defensive side.
Not only this, even their quarterback, Jalen Hurts, contributed massive feats to the team and not only pushed his team towards victory but also set some new NFL records. Moreover, Hurts has done something that only players like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson have been able to do till now.

In the Eagles’ last game against the Buccaneers, Jalen Hurts didn’t perform his best as he could only complete one touchdown and had two interceptions. But his team still managed to grab the win quite convincingly. Moreover, he also went ahead and became the first Eagles QB in history to win 10 consecutive wins on the road start.
Before him in the NFL, Lamar Jackson won 10 consecutive wins back in the 2019-2020 season, and Patrick Mahomes won 11 consecutive wins in the same season. Even in 2022, Mahomes was driven on an “insane” hot streak. So, he’s just one game away from being tied with the Kansas City Chiefs QB.
Further, Hurts is 20-1 in his 21 starts, which has again put him in the elite quarterback club of the NFL. This is something that has been only achieved by other greats like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Patrick Mahomes, and Jim McMahon.

Where he shares his throne with other respectable names in the sport, that too at the age of 25. But on Monday, he also broke a record where he kept one title just for himself.

Hurts rushed to the end zone in the last match with just 9:15 left on the clock, to get the Birds a 20-3 lead, which was also his first and last touchdown of the game. But this TD made him the first guy to score 29 touchdowns in the first 50 games of his career. Before this, the record was held by Cam Newton who had 28 TDs under his name.
Interestingly, Jalen Hurts has only competed in 48 matches, so he still has 2 games to set his record more than what it is now. In this season, Hurts has rushed a total of 29 times for 96 yards and 3 TDs. With this pace, it won’t be a stretch to say that he could reach the top of the all-time rushing touchdowns list. Sitting at the apex is Cam Newton with 75 touchdowns in just 148 games.
