In the heart of football season, the New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr is abuzz with speculations and surprises after suffering an injury to his shoulder in the last game. The Saints had a 17-18 close encounter loss last week with the Packers. Carr was thrown to the turf by Packers linebacker Rashan Gary however Saints QB walked off the field to the locker room himself without any support or stretcher. Carr underwent medical observation at the stadium and was later shifted to a local hospital to do further evaluation.

As the Week 4 clash between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers approaches, One question on every football enthusiast’s mind is, “Will Saints QB Derek Carr Suit up or Bench Against the Buccaneers?”

After Jordan Love rallied the Packers to an 18-17 win and Carr’s right shoulder injury, the Saint’s worries have increased. Carr’s participation is surrounded by speculations and has cast a shadow of doubt over his involvement in the upcoming matchup against the Buccaneers. However, the Saints need their star QB at his best to take on the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Buccaneers.

“He was limited in practice today,” Saints head coach Dennis Allen said. “Every day he’s gotten better. I thought he did a nice job today. We’ll see where he’s at tomorrow and go from there.” Even after he participated in a practice session, Carr’s subsequent game participation will be decided only after the Saints’ coaching staff evaluates the risks and rewards of having Carr in the lineup.

Derek Carr already had a pretty good start this season. His two interceptions for 636 yards and two touchdowns already show how needed is he for the team for the rest of the season.

Will Saints QB Derek Carr Bench Against the Buccaneers?

As kickoff approaches, the anticipation and anxiety around Derek Carr’s status continue to build.  If Carr isn’t given a green signal by the coaches the Saints will opt for a backup quarterback to navigate this critical matchup.

Jameis Winston would be a better substitution in place of the injured Carr Probably he would start against the Buccaneers. With his experience and skillset, Winston appears to be the best candidate to take the helm against the Buccaneers on Sunday night.

So, will Saints QB Derek Carr don the team jersey and lead his team to victory, or will he find himself on the bench? Will Carr be fit to play? The answers lie a few hours away.
