Skip Bayless, the Dallas Cowboys fan from 1961, is immensely concerned about the team’s performance. After the heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Bayless seems to know what the Cowboys are struggling with. And he has a suggestion.

As evident, quarterback Dak Prescott‘s performance has not been up to the mark. According to Skip Bayless, the Dallas Cowboys must hit a reset button and pull off their performances. However, that is not possible as long as Prescott is on the team with a poor exhibition.

Skip Bayless puts forward his suggestion for the Cowboys

In the most recent Undisputed Live, Skip Bayless expressed his opinions on the reportedly overrated quarterback. He said, “He was a fourth-round draft pick who turned right back into a fourth pick when the stakes are at their highest.” Therefore, Bayless claims that the backup quarterback, Trey Lance, is the best choice for the Cowboys right now.

“We’ve seen enough of Dak Prescott. You can reset the button next and year and say: “We’re going forward with Trey Lance.” Skip Bayless’s strong opinions might actually be understandable, considering that he wishes for his favorite team to prosper. “We can do a whole lot better than Dak Prescott,” he said.

According to Skip Bayless, the Cowboys can smoothly pull it off by replacing Prescott with Lance and letting him take over the starting quarterback position. Trey Lance, the former San Francisco 49ers QB, had helped the Cowboys to prepare against his former team. Now that Prescott’s job security is unstable, maybe it’s time for Lance to take over.

Will Trey Lance replace Prescott?

According to Dov Kleiman’s October 8 post on X, the 49ers’ star Trent Williams actually supported the speculations. According to the Left Tackle, his former teammate, who is now a Cowboys backup QB, will be a starting quarterback in the NFL. As the third overall pick of the 2021 draft, Lance is blessed with talent.

It just did not work out for him with the 49ers due to factors like injuries and lack of playing time affecting his play. All Lance needed was support to improve his play, which, according to Williams, can be fulfilled by watching Prescott play. “I think this will happen in Trey’s case. And when it does, we’ll all see the talent everybody knows that’s inside of him.”
