The 49ers are putting up a tough fight against their tough times. As the team is already dealing with the post-loss consequences, the injuries continue to haunt them even more. The Niners are at a pivotal stage where some of their star players, CMC and Deebo Samuel, are sidelined due to their injuries.

So far, the Niners have some of their best players injured ahead of their post-loss clash against the 2-4 Minnesota Vikings. While some players are healing, others’ conditions are worsening. Amidst all these positives and negatives, Kyle Shanahan made a huge announcement.

On Saturday afternoon, the head coach presented a mixed bag of news to the media. Kyle Shanahan opened up regarding Samuel’s mysterious pain. Coach Shanahan clarified that the Niners’ star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been ruled out for Monday Night Football. “Deebo has changed. Took X-rays and MRIs earlier in the week, didn’t have anything. “, said the head coach. “Pain was still there. We got a CT the other day and found a hairline fracture. So he’ll be out this game, next game and we’ll see after the bye week.”

Samuel encountered a shoulder pain while playing against the Browns last week. Even though he injured his shoulder in the first offensive snap, the receiver stayed back for nine more snaps before exiting the field. As per Samuel, he left as his arm felt ‘numb’. This will be the first game the receiver will miss this season, as the last game he missed a game was in week 17 last season when he did not participate in 3 games straight. Moreover, his fellow injured star players are also questionable for MNF.

Christian McCaffrey brings hope for the 49ers

With Deebo Samuel out of the equation, the Niners fans and Shanahan are looking at some positive news from McCaffrey. On the brighter side, McCaffrey is taking small strides toward healing as he did some sideline work on Friday and some seven-on-seven practice on Saturday. Moreover, with his active streak of consecutive games (including playoffs) with a touchdown, McCaffrey isn’t likely to miss out on the opportunity to extend the streak to 16.

On the other hand, tackle Trent Williams still seems to be in a ‘lot of pain’ due to his ankle injury. The Niners tackle was seen limping the whole week, which makes his presence on the field questionable. It is safe to say that if CMC is present at the US Banks Stadium, it will be a pleasant surprise for the audience.
