The QBs were no less in flaunting their accolades on ‘National Tight Ends Day’. The tight end, TJ Hockenson proved what it took to be a TE, by making 11 catches for 86 yards on 12 targets after suffering a calf injury. On the other hand, the Niners TE Kittle also scored well, making five catches for 78 yards. But for the QB Kirk Cousins and CMC, it was a milestone in their career.
The QBs not only played a close call, gave the audience a cutting-edge game to enjoy, but also made history playing against each other. The 49ers and Vikings have played 41 times in the regular season. Among these 41 games, the Vikings hold an edge over the Niners with a score of 21-19-1. Yet, it was a first on Monday, when 2 QBs, from both ends, made history on the same day.

The QB Cousins was unstoppable at the US Bank Stadium when he completed 35 of 45 passes for 378 yards. The QB also scored two touchdowns and one interception, with a 107.2 passer rating. Alongside this, the QB achieved something historic which was crossing the 300-yard passing mark for the 50th time in his professional career. Along with this, he became the fifth QB in NFL history to have 50 career games with a minimum of 300 passing yards in the first 12 seasons of his career. Way to go, Cousins!
.@KirkCousins8 has eclipsed the 300-yard passing mark for the 50th time in his career.
He is the fifth QB in NFL history with 50-career games with at least 300 passing yards in his first 12 seasons, and just the 15th QB in league history to reach the 50 game mark.#SFvsMIN pic.twitter.com/gxBPYdEFhV

Adding to the list of achievements, Cousins became the 15th QB in the league to reach 50 games with more than 300 passing yards. Cousins has been the target of a lot of negative comments lately. And if these numbers are not good enough to make the critics realize the potential of the QB, nothing will. Yet, the Vikings’ quarterback was not the only one to break records on MNF.

CMC sets another record
Another QB who shined bright like a diamond, in spite of his team facing a grueling loss on the night, is none other than Christian McCaffrey. The 49ers’ star player made it to the end zone with a three-yard run late in the first half on Monday Night Football in Minnesota, in spite of suffering through an injury. This touchdown was no ordinary one as it extended his touchdown streak to 16-the highest in the league, breaking the John Riggins record.

However, the Vikings safety Camryn Bynum deserves a special mention for his impressive interception of Niners star starting QB Brock Purdy. The ‘movieeee’ guy of the NFL surely gave a great show, rather, a sequel to the audience on the eventful Monday night.
