The Cowboys are all over the internet and news once again. This time for all the right reasons. The game with the 49ers was pretty one-sided and the Cowboys obviously didn’t like the humiliation. That is why they came back to the Red Kettle Kickoff. Dak Prescott made his record touchdown has been the highlight of the Cowboys game so far. But we can’t forget CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks for everything for the team.
The game proves that the Cowboys can take the challenge. These extremities got Prescott to finally show his legs and rush the Chargers out of the stadium. The game was pretty close, and the star QB1 likes it when the games get tough.

Dak Prescott opened up about a lot of things during the post-game interview. From the praises of Lamb and Pollard to the final touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks, the man made the game epic beyond proportion. Prescott knew that this game was going to be a tough one as he mentioned to his teammates. The thing is Cowboys have never lost a game with less than a 20 points differential, but this time, they barely made it to the end zone. “This is what the NFL is about,” said Prescott in high spirits.
Confidence might be the key for the Cowboys because Prescott seems to be ready for more games like these. A 2022 Jerry Jones interview talks about Jones pursuing Prescott to be more mobile and increase the efficiency of the Cowboys’ offense. For some reason, Prescott held his talents in before he ran for a career-record of an 18-yard touchdown, putting Dallas on the books.
Mobility or not, Dak Prescott has come up with some interesting numbers in this game.
Alien trajectory of QB1s career
Although the team had only 2 touchdowns and Prescott was sacked, he threw for 272 yards with a 70% completion rate. He hit 21 of his 30 targets, 4 of which were received by Brandin Cooks. One of those passes ultimately led to a stellar receiving touchdown for Cooks. But here is the thing: Prescott started with more than 20 touchdowns in the 2016 regular season games and peaked more than 35 touchdowns a few years ago. Make no mistake, Prescott can run, but why does he choose not to?

Maybe it is his special ability, the Cowboys’ ace in the hole. Something that the Cowboys use when they are pressured, just like the Eagles’ own brotherly shove. One thing is for sure, in the future, Dak Prescott has to make a run for it every time he sees grass leading to the end zone. All in all, it was a good game and Prescott admitted that the game came as a lesson for the Cowboys. Safe to say that they learned their lesson from the 49ers game.
