The San Francisco 49ers are currently riding on a five-game winning streak. They haven’t lost a single game this season, so it won’t be a stretch to say that, alongside the Philadelphia Eagles, the Niners are dominating the league right now. However, things may change going into Week 6, as they’ll face the 2-2 Cleveland Browns, who are more than desperate for a victory. They’re coming off a devastating 28-3 loss against the Baltimore Ravens and looking for redemption in their upcoming matchup.

This game would be interesting because the fans will see the clash between the phenomenal Niners’ offensive lineup against the indestructible defensive lineup of the Browns. So much so that, more than the teams themselves, the fans are excited about the individual rivalry between the players. On October 22, all eyes will be set on the offensive tackle Trent Williams and the Browns’ defensive end.

At 35, Trent Williams has still secured the top position as the best offensive tackle in the league, per Pro Football Focus. On the other hand, Browns DE Myles Garrett is considered PFF’s leading pass rusher in the league, so the top players of different positions will clash this Sunday. Garrett is also the one who ‘re-injured’ Aaron Rodgers’ pinky toe two years ago. An anticipated rivalry will unfold, and the fans will witness who’s the better NFL player.

In an interview before the matchup, Trent Williams talked about this personal tussle with the defensive player of the opposite team. He acknowledged the skills of Garrett and said, “Everything. The size, the speed, the craftiness, the agility. I mean, what doesn’t hop off on the film is a better question. He’s one of the few players who has everything, literally has everything. He can run around you, he can run through you, he can make you look stupid with agility moves. He’s a juggernaut.

So, Williams understands who he’s up against and will prepare for the game accordingly. But Williams’ fellow teammate doesn’t believe Garrett could present something that the offensive tackle hasn’t already faced in the past.

George Kittle talks about the anticipated face-off

Trent Williams has seen almost everything that the league has to offer. With 9194 snaps, 168 games, and 13 seasons, there’s hardly a play in the league that could shock the Niners left tackle. He’s not only an experienced player, but he’s also the best at his position. However, he still has to face Myles Garrett, the young blood in the sport who holds the caliber to stop him.

When asked about this little matchup, George Kittle said, “It’s going to be excellent.” At the same time, he believes that it won’t be a tough challenge for him. Williams is used to the plays of last year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa. He added, “So the fact that they go against each other all the time, Trent will be at the top of his game, and it’ll be fun to watch.
