No matter what happens on the offensive side of the ball, San Fran’s defense remains the best unit every year. Defensive co-ordinators come and go, but defense remains the same. And this game was no different. When offense was getting 3-and-out every single drive, Nick Bosa and Co. kept the NFC West leader in the game. Steve Wilks and his boys stuffed up the middle and made Browns earn every point.
Fred Warner and those boys held an opposing individual rusher under 100 yards for 33rd consecutive game. Fred and Lenoir both picked off Walker and had 12 total tackles between them. Nick Bosa had 3 tackles and 1 sack during the day. Randy Gregory, a new member of that fierce San Francisco’s front, had himself a day. He totaled for 3 tackles and a sack on Sunday afternoon. Ward got 1st forced fumble of the season.

Light At The End Of A Tunnel
After scoring a touchdown on an opening drive, nothing went Niners way. In a game where rain clearly affected Brock Purdy, 49ers couldn’t get their running game going against No 1 ranked defense. As if that wasn’t enough, Kyle Shanahan’s team also took 12 penalties in a game. Additionally, an injury bug hit CMC, Trent Williams, and Deebo at different instances in the game.. They converted only 25% of their 3rd downs and merely lost by 2 points on a missed field goal at the end. This is what should scare Niners detractors.

What are your thoughts on this? Can 49ers bounce back from this?
