Another ground-breaking news comes in from the San Francisco 49ers as they are currently playing against the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers currently lead the game, and it does not look good for the Cardinals. But there is always time to bounce back, just like the Broncos did in the game against the Chicago Bears. However, that’s not what we are concerned about here.

This is about Christian McCaffrey who broke Jerry Rice’s record that hasn’t been broken since 1990. As of now, McCaffrey has scored three touchdowns, that too, in the first half of the game. He joined the 49ers back in 2022 and is already heading the franchise to greatness.

The 27-year-old running back has single-handedly given the 49ers that start that they needed. On top of that, it’s been his 13 game since the playoffs where he hasn’t failed to score a touchdown. After scoring three touchdowns in a single game, he broke Jerry Rice’s record, a stretch that he kept for 12 straight games since 1987.

Brock Purdy and McCaffrey have given all the edge to the team to take over this game. The pass from Purdy was his second touchdown for the game and elevated the score to 14-0 in San Francisco’s favor.

McCaffrey is on a roll, as he didn’t stop at just two touchdowns, he added one more for the team, giving their competition nightmares. All thanks to Brock Purdy who passed the ball to the RB from the 6-yard line. This marks 16 touchdowns in the last 13 games, including the ones in the playoffs. Pretty decent numbers if you ask us. The team has been undefeated since the regular season started and this match might just add one more win for the 49ers.

This is his 18 game with the franchise, and he is already doing wonders for the team. No wonder why 49ers were so eager to get him from the Carolina Panthers.

Believe it or not, the Cardinals are having a hard time keeping up with Purdy and McCaffrey and they might not see the playoffs in the future.

The trailing Cardinals

As it stands, the Cardinals are trailing way off the charts and a comeback doesn’t seem to be possible. However, anything can go in a high-pressure environment. The Cardinals have struggled to win with three games played, they have already lost two of them. The loss of this game will make it three. On the other hand, Brock Purdy and Co. are doing well for themselves with a record of 3-nil in their favor.

Cardinals’ losses have always been close, but to everyone’s surprise, they defeated the Dallas Cowboys in their last game. Now, that’s unheard of. As of now, the Cardinals are standing 4 in the NFC West standings, with the 49ers being at the top, as expected.
