News has come in from the NFC East side of the NFL. For some reason, the Washington Commanders don’t often make it to the news. Recently, they have been on the front pages as they decided to reveal some major trade information ahead of the Giants match. A few days ago, there were some rumors about Chase Young and Montez Sweat but the Commanders just deemed them to be rumors but with a pinch of truth.
Dov Kleiman initially tweeted about the rumors at a few days ago, but at that time, those were just rumors. But now, new information has come to light and the Washington Commanders are now treading in deep waters to decide their future. But no one knows what the future holds for the 3 team in the NFC East.

Washington Commanders on a first date
That is what one of the NFL GMs described the rapidly approaching trade-off as “I feel like everyone is out on a first date and feeling each other out right now.” as reported by Dianna Russini of The Athletic. As of now, the Washington Commanders are just “taking the temperature” and have their eyes and ears out for any trade possibilities with Chase Young and Montez Sweat on the line. Although no one is in a hurry to make trade decisions, some teams have started trading assets ahead of time.
REPORT: The #Commanders have made trade calls to "take the temperature" of the market for DEs Chase Young and Montez Sweat, per @DMRussini
Dianna adds that the current sense is that one of them will be on the move if Washington can the proper compensation.

But Chase Young and Montez Sweat’s trade would heavily depend on their performance in the upcoming Giants game. The interesting thing is, that both Des started their career with the Washington Commanders and were first-round draft picks. As for the 2023 season, Chase Young has 8 solo tackles along with 3 sacks. Also, Montez Sweat contributed to the Commanders with 15 solo tackles and 4.5 sacks. The players have a lot of potential but for some reason, their names are taking up space in the Wall Street of the NFL.
Trade or no trade, the Commanders need to take desperate measures to secure a decent position in their division to proceed to the playoffs.
The upcoming battle
As the Commanders go against the 1-5 Giants, one thing is clear, this match may be very well one-sided seeing how the Giants are struggling to get a foothold this season. They also are on the verge of trading Cole Beasley, who never really played a single game with them in the first place. But some GMs are holding off from making hasty decisions as of now. This looks like a one-sided match as the Giants have a pretty battered injury report. Daniel Jones will be also listed as questionable as of now.

This seems like the perfect opportunity for the Washington Commanders to buckle up and move ahead in the division rankings. As for the Giants, the season already looks like a lost cause. With more than 10 Giants on the injury list, the future looks bleak for the New York football team.
