Things haven’t been in the favor of the Chicago Bears lately; especially for their Defensive Coordinator Alan Williams, who has been a person of interest for the NFL, the fans, and even the FBI. Williams recently got a knock on the door from the agency. At the time, the reasons were undisclosed and he was raided under the suspicion of ‘extremely sensitive content’, following which he resigned due to ‘health and family’ concerns.
In addition to this, the Bears CB Charles Tillman turned out to be a federal agent. Who would have thought? This is something out of the movies. Coming back to the point, there have been some recent developments regarding the whole Alan Williams debacle.

According to The Chicago Tribune, Alan Williams’ departure was because of his abnormal conduct. Apparently, the HR department had to get involved to investigate this inappropriate conduct. Things sure have gotten messy for the DC. Williams has resigned after coaching the NFL for more than 2 decades. The Bears have declined to make any further comments about the situation and are keeping the matter under wraps for now. Meanwhile, the news is even affecting Matt Eberflus.
HC Matt Eberflus has been under the weather ever since the unfortunate news came out. However, he has been assuring everyone that this hasn’t impacted the team in any significant way. He has been supporting the players and motivating them to work as a team in these trying times.
How it all started
The stroke of bad luck began was Allan was reported missing from the practice sessions without any prior notice. What’s interesting about this is that there are rumors making rounds that Charles Tillman, the Bears Cornerback, allegedly informed the Bears top management about the raid.

Before this news came out, Williams’ attorney Andrew M. Stroth was supporting the narrative about Williams’ health and family-related issues. No statements have come from him since then. The 53-year-old vaguely mentioned his return to the NFL in his resignation letter, but now with the HR and the FBI involved, it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
