The NFL season is becoming more and more unpredictable with the passing day. The Minnesota Vikings, who were spiraling downhill at the beginning of the regular season, emerged victorious against the San Francisco 49ers, who held an untainted record till week 6. That is when things took a U-turn for both teams. Alongside this, Kirk Cousins, the Vikings QB too, managed to do something shocking this Monday night.
The QB had a bumpy start to the season. With three consecutive losses at the start of the season, the QB became a hot target. However, his 300+ yard performance shunned haters. Along with Cousins, the WR Addison and TE Hockenson also stole the show. Yet the QB occupied the spotlight a bit more than them. Previously, the internet flocked with people complaining about the QBs’ poor performance. Now, the comments have taken a U-turn as well.

The Vikings QB has marginally improved since the beginning of this season, let alone since the previous seasons. Cousins’ completion rate of 77.8% in his game against the Vikings was his personal best when compared to the other 6 games this season. Moreover, the QB finishing with 378 yards was his personal best in the season too. While people across the internet have poured in praise, former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner joined them. He commented, “Say what you want @KirkCousins8 has been AWESOME tonight!!! That last 3rd down was a phenomenal play by him!”

Praise like this coming in from experienced players like Warner is no joke. Along with the yardage, the QB also scored two TDs and one INT. In other words, he set the gridiron on fire with his talent. Especially when he had to face a defense as strong as the 49ers. That is the comeback of the year from Cousins, leading a struggling offense through one of the strongest defenses in the league and still emerging victorious.

The Vikings and The 49ers
On the other hand, we cannot forget all the players who gave their sweat and tears to the game. WR Jordan Addison shocked the audience by finishing his debut game with 100+ yards. Camryn Bynum intercepted the starting QB Brock Purdy of the Niners twice, a major thing against the 5-2 49ers for the Vikings.
