The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets are wary of each other for the upcoming match. Jets’ Head Coach Robert Saleh not only has a plan to slow down the Eagles’ QB, Jalen Hurts, but also has enough confidence in his team. Now, that confidence is generated through improving the team’s Running Back performance.
RB Breece Hall has leveled up his performance this season in the recent matches. Not to mention, the Eagles are now quite careful with Hall’s upgrade. Interestingly enough, the Eagles’ Defensive Tackle, Fletcher Cox, put forward his plan to contain the Jets’ RB.

On October 13, 2023, the Eagles Nation on X posted a short video where DT Fletcher Cox disclosed his plan to contain Breece Hall. Cox was inquired, “Breece’s all particular. He’s a pretty explosive back. What’s the key to making sure that he stays contained?” After a quick thought, DT replied, “We gotta go kiss him 11 times.”

Cox’s quick reply was based on Robert Saleh’s public statement on how to stop the Eagles’ ‘tush push.’ The Jets plan to defend against the Eagles’ short-yardage play, and Saleh revealed how. “We’re gonna do our best to try and stop it. They do a lot of stuff off it, too; they have reverses, pop passes, stretch plays. We gotta be disciplined. But if that QB carries the ball, we gotta give him 11 kisses.”
This confidence in Saleh comes from his utmost faith in both Breece Hall and Zack Wilson. RB Hall is a pretty explosive back indeed, and his upgraded skills might be getting some more enhancement before he faces the Philadelphia Eagles. He might even lead the Jets to victory.
Breece Hall, the key to the Jets’ victory
Hall was rehabilitating from a torn ACL, which he suffered last season, and therefore, he was playing on a limited snap count during the first four weeks this year. However, the RB was able to level up his performance in the recent matches. He averaged 8.3 yards per attempt and ran for about 177 yards in 22 attempts.

Not to mention, he scored a 72-yard touchdown in the match against the Denver Broncos. For the New York Jets to battle against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles’ iron-wall defense, Hall will have to display a similar or even better performance. Thus, it’s time to witness who will be giving the kisses to whom.
