The Detroit Lions‘ cornerback, Emmanuel Moseley, is going through a streak of bad luck. He had already suffered an unfortunate torn left ACL one year ago. Not to mention, that kept him out for the rest of the 2022 season. He did recover this year, but his comeback only lasted two plays.
Moseley’s miserable luck came to haunt him once again. One heartbreaking trauma was not enough; Moseley was slammed with another one right after his recovery. No one expected that the day he played against the Carolina Panthers would be the last ever of this season.

Not long after recovering from his torn left ACL, CB Moseley suffered another. This injury is the same as earlier, except it’s his right ACL. Strikingly, both wounds were sustained in week 5 of two seasons! Adam Schefter on X reported the same in his post.

Inflicted by a similar injury once again, Emmanuel Moseley is also reported to be missing the 2023 NFL season. The Lions’ teammates and coaches expressed their concerns regarding the situation and, most importantly, the CB’s health. Besides the concerns, disappointment arose as well. The absence of their cornerback again after only two games with him is disappointing.
Moseley is, in fact, a great player, and he was supposed to make an impact on the team’s defense. However, facing such an unfortunate, unexpected, familiar accident again, the injured cornerback could not do that now. Will that affect the Lions’ performance?
Will Moseley’s absence affect the Lions?
Emmanuel Moseley had signed a 1-year deal with the Detroit Lions in the 2023 off-season. But his injury from the 49ers game kept him from joining the matches and decreased his value as a free agent. The Lions kept their strength and asserted their power in the games they dominated. They also won against the Panthers after CB Moseley left the game with an injury.
