The Green Bay Packers might be taking a sigh of relief after all the tough weeks that they had to endure. Though they are doing okay, the team would be doing much better if most of their roster were not compromised. The long list of injuries is creating some real pressure on the team. Especially Jordan Love, who until now didn’t have a solid offensive aid beside him. The Packers are leading in terms of wins, but maybe they will be able to do even better now.
Apparently, a lot of Packers have been ailing or did not participate in practice sessions. The same was true for Aaron Jones, who missed some major games since the start of Week 1 due to his hamstring injury. But Jordan Love can relax a bit now, as no. 33 might be back on the field soon.

Everyone on the team is happy about Jones’ and Watson’s return. However, this is a huge opportunity, especially for Jordan Love. Love has a lot of faith in Aaron Jones and he lets it be known in the interview. He says, ‘He’s a huge playmaker’ referring to how when Jones gets the ball, he makes explosive plays happen. The QB expresses how just this single addition means a lot for the team.
The HC Matt LaFleur hasn’t exactly given a lot of information about the situation, maybe to have a competitive edge against the Detroit Lions. The coach is ‘cautiously optimistic’ at best about Jones’ return, as he still has to undergo a medical examination. But, despite Jones’ and Watson’s absence, the QB has done quite well for himself. He proved his caliber against the New Orleans Saints, though the Packers won by just a single point.
Hopefully, this confidence translates in the favor of the Packers as they go against Jared Goff and the team in the next game. It would be interesting to see how Jordan Love competes with the Lions’ QB.
Battle of the QB’s
Statistically, both quarterbacks are pretty on par with each other, but Jordan Love has had 7 touchdowns compared to Goff’s 5 and is also rated behind Goff in terms of quarterback ratings. In addition to this, Goff has more pass completions than his competition. It would be naïve to compare the players based on ratings though. What happens in the field is completely different, because the situation is always driven by pressure. But maybe with this re-enforced offense, the Packers might just make it out.

For some people, the Lions might be far better than the Packers, but given their last few games, they’ve proved that they are willing to fight till the end. Both teams are leading 2-1, but it remains to be seen if Jordan Faith and Matt LaFleur’s faith will be misplaced or not.
