Just like the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles are also getting their fair share of publicity these days. Well, mainly because they’ve won all 5 games of the regular season and secondly, because of their infamous play, “the tush-push”. By now, the term needs no introduction, and we know for sure that Jalen Hurts and Jason Kelce are big advocates of it. Why? Because they keep on doing it over and over, to the point where it’s now taken as a ‘cheat’ of sorts.
But why does it only work out for the Eagles? Is it because the Eagles are that good, or is it because the other teams don’t know the secret recipe behind the move? Well, Jason Kelce is here to talk about it all.

In the recent episode of New Heights, Jason Kelce goes in depth about all the controversies around the move. He starts off by acknowledging the 2 injuries the NY Giants sustained after trying the move, underlying the possibility of a risk. Luckily, for the Eagles, this has worked out without injuries. Kelce touches on the topic of quarterback sneaks, where the only one who got hurt was Patrick Mahomes. There haven’t been any major incidents around the play, per Kelce.
Jason Kelce predicts defenses are going to start faking injuries to get the Brotherly Shove banned: “I swear, I guarantee you guys are going to start faking injuries, minor injuries at first, to stop it. All they’re doing is complaining.. It’s nonsense.“

Unfair advantage or not, the tush push play has got all the DCs throughout the NFL on their toes. There are petitions about banning the play because a lot of DCs think that injuries are imminent. Secondly, they are trying to think a season ahead, preparing for next season in advance. It would not be good for the team if their players take hits and sit the next season out. Or maybe the players can fake injuries starting this season to get the move outlawed. “It’s nonsense”, mentions Kelce backing it up by saying, “It’s not a play that is historically a high injury chance of prevalence.”
Well, Kelce is already one step ahead and touched on the topic of players faking injuries. He mentions that it is going to start with players faking small injuries and will progress into bigger ones. However, it looks like the Eagles have bigger issues on their hands.
Other concerns behind the Eagles’ offense

As it happens, Jason Kelce went on Sports Radio and shared his true feelings about the Philadelphia offense. Now, this is all related to the brotherly shove because, according to Kelce, the Eagles’ offense struggles with the end zone. They are not able to score as many touchdowns as they should. It mainly came down to Jake Elliot, the Eagles’ kicker, when we talk about scoring. Apparently, this is also something that bothers Jason Kelce.
He was seen visibly upset on camera during the game. He backed it up by saying that he loves his team, but they are failing to achieve the same thing over and over again. This repetitive failure is what caused the Kelce outburst we witnessed in the game against the LA Rams.
