Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s career has just started, and it has started off pretty quiet. During their Sunday game against the Panthers, the no. 11 jersey holder had only one reception on three targets. In spite of being new to the sport, Jaxon seemed to have lost a good amount of hope during halftime, due to the mishaps in his performance.

Or at least, that is what he appeared to be like in the video by NFL films that went viral. In the same video, Geno approaches Jaxon and tells him something so heart-touching that even had the whole of the NFL community in their feelings. He goes, “Hey, I need you. Need you in the second half. Need you locked in. Alright, look. Whatever happened is on me. It ain’t never on you. You gotta get the ball, so I gotta find you. Alright. But I need you to give me your best this second half.”

Geno came in with his motivating words and prompted the wide receiver to put his best leg forward. Although Jaxon did not receive any targets in the second half, he sure was inspired to come better prepared for the next game not only by Geno’s words but also his performance.
