Daniel Jones, along with his whole team, is on the receiving end of a ton of criticism. The New York Giants, who were expected to be seen in the playoffs this season, are not even putting up a good fight for their opponents. The Giants are currently 1-3-0, a record many teams would like to stay away from in week 4. Unfortunately, the Giants are receiving much criticism from the internet and experts alike. Along with others, Colin Cowherd has chipped in his views regarding the subject.

The Giants are currently on a 2 lose strike, their recent one being against the Seahawks. Before that, they lost to the 49ers, which was a humbling experience for them altogether. But the recent performance on Monday was what brought in the maximum criticism, mostly for Daniel Jones.

The American Sports personality presented his views on the quarterback of the Giants or rather the head coach of the Giants. Well, he had a lot to say. But the phrase that Cowherd used which caught everyone’s attention was ‘one-hit wonder’. As many critics would have guessed, he referred to Daniel Jones as the ‘one-hit wonder’ keeping in mind the QB’s disastrous performance throughout the season. While talking about Jones, he suggested that the head coach Brian Daboll is a nice guy, but his reputation is getting tainted due to a ‘six-figure contract they might regret’.

He presented his side of the argument by giving instances where he failed his team. Firstly, the viral video, where his head coach was upset with him. Secondly, his last year’s record. Jones only had 15 touchdowns last year, although his passer percentage and other stats. Yet, unlike some popular QBs like Josh Allen and Mayy Ryan who succeeded in their second years, Daniel Jones isn’t. He rather hit the ceiling. He even compared him to a 90s rapper Vanilla Ice, whose all other albums except his debut album went flop. “Daniel Jones maybe a little Vanilla Ice. You know it’s not a one-hit-wonder but a one-album wonder.”

Cowherd presented facts, even though brutal for Jones, which many fans agreed to that affected Giants’ performance along with other factors. But along with Jones, Cowherd presented several of his opinions regarding the Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll.

Colin Cowherd about the Giants’ head coach

Cowherd talked about the position Brian Daboll was in. The Giants’ poor performance this season is bringing down the reputation of the AP NFL Assistant Coach of the Year. Hence, Cowherd suggested that he should resign. But not negatively, as many viewers might perceive. Rather is a sense that would save his dignity as a coach.
