The true star of the Seattle Seahawks is their first wide receiver, DK Metcalf. No matter the situation, the Seahawks WR has never missed any game in the past 5 NFL seasons. Metcalf injured his ribs during the Lions’ clash in Week 2. Interestingly, the receiver gave his personal best in the season right after the Lions’ game with six catches for 112 yards against the Panthers. Now, that’s what you call a savage comeback.
So, when we say that the player is questionable for the Seahawks’ upcoming game, it seems no big deal, right? Metcalf has continued his streak of starting 70 of his 71 games with the Seahawks. Hence, it’s natural that he will feature in the upcoming clash against the Cardinals. Well, ESPN’s Adam Schefter might not agree with it completely.

Taking a rather serious turn, ESPN insider Schefter opened up about why the veteran receiver might miss their next game. Metcalf did practice on Friday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, which has become routine since his rib injury. However, unlike other times, coach Pete Caroll insisted on Metcalf being a game-time decision. The Seahawks head coach also added on Friday that there is a chance that Metcalf might miss the game. Even Schefter was unsure about the receiver’s availability compared to the past two weeks.

When Metcalf exited the Bengals clash in the third quarter to get his hip checked, the game went haywire from Seattle’s end. Even though the WR scored two passes for 39 yards, the Seahawks lost with a score of 17-13. However, the bigger issue for coach Carroll is Metcalf’s injury than the previous loss. If Metcalf might miss the game, the absence of his violent gameplay will surely impact the Seahawks. However, the Seahawks’ WR2 might help.

WR Tyler Lockett expected to play against the Cardinals
The Seahawks were pretty sore in the wide receiver’s area. While Metcalf was dealing with his rib injury, their No. 2 receiver, Lockett, missed practice sessions because of his hamstring injury. However, despite missing practice on Friday and being limited on Thursday and Wednesday, Lockett had no designated game status, which means he will play at the Lumen Field on Sunday.

Yet, the real question here continues to be Metcalf’s status. The pre-game workout will decide his presence in the game. Fans will wait for the veteran receiver to make another comeback on Sunday.
