Or did it? The Giants are struggling right now, and the week 6 injury report tells us why. It would take a miracle to push the 1-4 Giants further. Well, they are in luck because there are some changes in the injury report and Saquon Barkley might be the face of it.

A tweet from Adam Schefter might make the Giants fans happy this time. The 4 team in the NFC East is going against the Buffalo Bills in the Bills Stadium very soon. Alas, the Giants have some good news that might help them go against Josh Allen and the Bills squad.

Anticipations surround Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley has missed the past 3 games due to an ankle injury. The New York Giants have some hope that their RB will be playing against the Bills in the upcoming game. Barkley suffered this injury in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals and hasn’t touched the grass since then. As of now, Barkley is listed as questionable on the Injured Reserve. This comes as a huge hope for the Giants, especially considering how banged up the team is right now. Barkley has been participating in practice in a limited capacity.

So far, Barkley has scored a single touchdown and rushed for 114 yards in 29 games. These are the stats of the only 2 games that he played this season. Hopefully, he makes a return to give the Giants the much-needed boost they need. There is a lot of hoopla going around Daniel Jones and fans think that Tyrod Taylor can do a better job of handling the Giants. However, Barkley had Jones’ back amid all this when a fan yelled at him for getting injured.

There is no doubt that Barkley is a good human being, but would he make good plays as the Giants struggle with a huge injury list?

The quandary of the Giants

The banged-up Giants have a lot on their plate right now. The QB1 would not participate in the Bills match-up for sure. Apart from this, Center John Michael Schmitz is out because of a shoulder injury. Not to forget Andrew Thomas, who hasn’t played for quite some time. Also, the TE Darren Waller has suffered a groin injury but stays as a limited participant in practice. Not only this, but DJ Davidson, Shane Lemieux, Evan Neal, and Micah McFadden are also listed as questionable to play against the Bills.

This has to be one of the worst weeks the Giants might be facing in a while. While their opponent is someone who is known for an explosive offense, the Giants’ main depth chart has quite a hole in it. Maybe Barkley’s return can overshadow the losses the Giants have faced so far.
