The San Francisco 49ers faced their first defeat of the season last week. This came as a shock to a lot of fans as the 2-2 Cleveland Browns managed to put down 5-0 Niners in Week 6. But as history suggests, anybody can defeat anybody, so the Browns could bypass the deadly O-line of the Niners and end the game with a 19-17 win. The Niners are hellbent on redeeming this loss in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Winning most of the games in the season is quite important for San Francisco, but at the same time, they also understand that whatever they’re doing is all for their fans. This was clear as the 49ers star players paid a visit to one of their biggest fans to be grateful for his support. The team attempted to bring a smile to the life of a 14-year-old this Thursday.

A couple of days ago, the Niners decided to use their fame and presence to improve one of their fans’ day. Fred Warner, Oren Burks, Ross Dwelley, George Kittle, and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles entered the hospital room to meet Jason Marsh. He is a 14-year-old boy who is a Monterey High School freshman.

Marsh is awaiting a heart transplant as he suffered heart failure in April of this year. His father, James Marsh, reported that his son only bears half a heart because he was born with a medical condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Kittle entered the room, and he instantly said, “Hey, hey! What’s up, Jason?” This excited the boy since he owned Kittle’s jersey but didn’t have it then.

The team enjoyed their time with Jason, and the boy also told the team that he’s even got multiple hats for the team. His father was also happy seeing his son getting his wish fulfilled.

Jason Marsh’s father shares his happiness

The players had a good day with the boy, but Jason had an incredible one, seeing his idols all at once. James Marsh has talked about how Jason has been through many tough things since childhood. But he updated the concerned fans that he’s improving every day now and “made it through like a champ.”

He also said, “To have him (George Kittle) come in and shake his hand and give him a fist bump and he took his glasses off and he gave them to Jason. Then he told Jason, ‘The next time I score a touchdown, I’m going to do a little dance. And that it’s going to be for you, Jason.’” So, the fans would be desperately looking out for Kittle’s next TD.
