The Dallas Cowboys have a jewel on their team that not everyone is aware of. The Defensive Linebacker, Micah Parsons, has been highly praised this season for his speed and athleticism. He has been named the ‘NFC Defensive Player of the Week’ in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season. And now, he has been blessed with another compliment.
The Dallas Cowboys legend DeMarcus Ware, who was a linebacker himself, has seen great potential in Parsons. Impressed by his amazing defense play, Ware believes that Micah Parsons can do even better and reach heights. And thus, he sees in him the potential to be as great as other legendary LBs.

On October 17, 2023, the NFL on ESPN posted DeMarcus Ware’s views on Parsons’ potential on social media. He stated, “I heard Lawrence Taylor stories every day about how to play, how to play with tenacity. We always said, ‘Turn up the radio and make it as loud as possible.’ And that’s what Lawrence Taylor did with Micah. He has all the tools, the tools of Lawrence Taylor, a knack to get to the quarterback.”

According to Ware, if Micah Parsons can be consistent this whole year, that’s when he undoubtedly gets that Lawrence Taylor factory. “There was no question that Lawrence Taylor changed the way that position was played.” Since DeMarcus Ware trusts that Parsons can reach that level, he would also believe that he has the potential to change how the position is played for his generation.

Unsurprisingly, Charles Haley, the NFL Hall of Famer, came across the same question. How has Micah Parsons done that for his generation? Charles Haley’s response to that was perfectly on point.

Has Micah Parsons changed the way the LB position is played?
Charles Haley, emphasizing Parsons’s abilities, replied, “Teams are trying to draft players like Micah. They can play outside, inside, right, or left. And so, that means he has already changed the game.” Even though Parsons has attained that level of glory, the former DE and LB still think that he has just one more thing to do.
He continued, “The only thing he has to do to seal his legacy is win the Super Bowl. If he can win a Super Bowl, let me tell you, untouchable.” Do you agree with DeMarcus Ware and Charles Haley’s opinions on the Cowboys’ LB Micah Parsons?
