Per Dov Kleiman on X, the head coach’s wife will be going into labor ‘any day’ now. Therefore, McVay decided he would not be coaching the Rams against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, i.e., if his wife Khomyn goes into labor. Raheem Morris, the LA Rams’ defensive coordinator, will probably be taking over as the interim head coach in case of McVay’s absence.

The decision was per Sean McVay’s priorities. A fan appreciated, “He’s a good husband who has his priorities in check. Family comes first.
