Week 3 of the game has been a staggering level to behold for the football world. Where Patrick Mahomes‘ 3 TD passes thrilled everyone around and Taylor Swift’s celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ resounding 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears gained the utmost attention. One particular individual couldn’t hide his disappointment overall and it was none other than sports analyst Pat McAfee.

With a fervor befitting a professional wrestler, McAfee unleashed his critique of Justin Fields, the Bears’ quarterback, during a recent show. Discussion was around the Bears’ dismal offensive performance throughout the game. McAfee’s guest on the show didn’t mince words, calling their current offensive tape “awful.”

While the Chicago Bears displayed an underwhelming game, QB Justin Fields, in particular, bore the brunt of Pat McAfee’s criticism. The quarterback had just thrown for a meager 87 passing yards. McAfee, stunned by his game, questioned, “What happened to Justin Fields?” His bewilderment was palpable, as he contrasted Fields’ current form with his promising previous year.

Dan Orlovsky, chiming in on the conversation, expressed his doubts about the Bears. He admitted that he had always expected the team to struggle, given his projection of a “bad football team” for the season. Fields’ subpar performance, according to Orlovsky, wasn’t the sole reason behind the Bears’ woes.

He believed that the team’s offensive tape was “God awful,” placing the blame on a collective failure rather than singling out the quarterback. Well, the statistics of the match narrated the whole story! The Bears managed just 87 net passing yards throughout the game, with a significant portion of those yards salvaged in the fourth quarter when Fields mustered 57 of his 99 yards.

With this loss, the Bears’ record plummeted to 0-3 for the season, and they haven’t tasted victory since Week 7 of the previous season. After a crushing 41-10 defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs, Fields, the Chicago Bears’ quarterback, per the interview, took a long, hard look at his own game.

Did Justin Fields’ recent performance reveal a deeper truth about life?

In his own words, Justin Fields described his recent performance against the Chiefs as “robotic” and lacking in creativity, per the NFL website. But what was more insightful was what he said after the game, as reported by Courtney Cronin.

When asked about the Bears’ 31-point loss, Fields didn’t dwell on the score. Instead, he shared a perspective that transcended the football field. He said, “I’m looking at it like the big picture, life in general to be honest with you. I think this past week has had me kind of look at it like what are the important things in life?”
