Their Tight End Waller has also faced a groin injury recently. Now, with the season at its peak and the game getting intense, Waller expressed the tough times he has been facing.

On October 14, 2023, Jordan Raanan updated Darren Waller’s condition on X. TE Darren Waller informed him earlier this week that he fully expected to play Sunday night against the Bills. Unluckily, he’s officially listed as questionable for the upcoming match. There lies even more uncertainty with the RB Saquon Barkley.

The ankle still looked to be limiting him this week. He’s also listed as questionable, like Waller. Waller spoke on what’s the hardest part of being in that condition. He stated, “Pain, cutting, it’s that’s what happens when you know you bump up your ankle. You get some information in there, and you kind of just working through that. Working through the soreness.”

He was quick to add, though, about each week being focused on training and grabbing more control. He explained, feeling much better comparatively this Wednesday and Thursday than he has been in the past few weeks, allowing him to reach a better mental situation.

Waller is officially questionable to play in Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season. And it’s not just the TE who is out due to an injury. Several other players are going through the same during a very critical time because the Giants are, unfortunately, also stuck with an upcoming challenging schedule that is- facing the Buffalo Bills. However, the team’s situation does not look very promising.

The New York Giants’ miserable situation

Besides Darren Waller, other prominent players like Saquon Barkley, Azeez Ojulari, and Micah McFadden are dealing with injuries, and most of them are questionable for Week 6. The injuries this season have impelled the Giants to rely on substitute players for the matches.

Like, the Giants’ running game has declined in Saquon Barkley’s absence. The substitute running backs like Matt Breida, Eric Gray, and Gary Brightwell combined record for only 107 yards on 47 carries till now, causing performance issues for the team.

The team also has to adjust their game plan due to limited options, and they’re not very effective. Relying on backup players like Mike Glennon and reworking their strategies has achieved no prominent success for the team. The New York Giants will also be playing without Daniel Jones, who is sadly out due to a neck injury.
