The San Francisco 49ers have yet again secured a victory in the Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The team’s offensive line displayed a top-notch performance, just like they did in their past games. They covered about 75 yards in 7 plays in their opening drives, with some impromptu decisions made by the quarterback Brock Purdy. Additionally, the penalties of the Dallas Cowboys also played a huge role in helping the Niners reach the 19-yard line without any obstructions.

There were a lot of moments where the QB Brock Purdy showcased remarkable play, but amid the entire team’s remarkable performance one player in particular grabbed the attention of the fans more than ever. He contributed the most in attaining the comfortable 42-10 lead against the Cowboys.

On first and ten, Brock Purdy had the ball and when glancing across the field, he saw George Kittle open near the end zone. The Niners shot caller instantly made a decision and made a perfect pass to his Tight End, who delivered a successful 19-yard touchdown. This moment was special for Kittle, because it was his first touchdown of the season, but definitely not the last.

The second touchdown came down after a flurry of passes among different players. On first-and-10 from Cowboys’ 38, Purdy made a pass to RB Christian McCaffrey, who handed it to the receiver Deebo Samuel. Samuel ran and then tossed it over to Purdy. After taking a moment to think, he again passed it to Kittle, who was wide open. Kittle ran for the end zone and made a 38-yard touchdown. After this, even Dallas was able to score their first field goal in the second half. However, the Niners answered it back with the Purdy-Kittle play.

On third-and-2 from Cowboys’ 10, Purdy did a roll on the left and then found Kittle free on the end zone, thus attempting his third touchdown of the game. It was the first time in his career that he managed three touchdowns in a game. Moreover, since 2009, he’s the first Tight End to have made three touchdowns in just one game. So Kittle achieved a remarkable feat on Sunday’s game and is on the road to surpass Travis Kelce.

Kittle may take over Travis Kelce again amid Taylor Swift controversy

After the 2021 season, George Kittle was kept one position above the Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, even though Kelce was the only Tight End to have covered 1000-plus receiving yards. In the 2022 season, Kelce was bound to make changes in these placings. After the Chiefs became the winner of the Super Bowl LVI, Kelce further improved his position in the list of best Tight Ends in the league.

This season, Travis Kelce is making headlines for his rumored relationship with famous pop star, Taylor Swift. So, many pundits even consider Kelce to be a bit “distracted” because of all the drama ongoing on the field. Swift has been attending Chiefs games, which may be a factor in Kelce’s eyes moving away from the ball. On the other hand, Kittle is breaking personal records and making history for the Niners team.
