In Week 6, at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH, the San Francisco 49ers‘ potent offense encountered significant struggles during the first half. This was primarily attributable to the formidable performance of DE Myles Garrett and his team, and the loss of left tackle Trent Williams, who was tasked with blocking Myles Garrett.
As a result, the 49ers’ first-half performance yielded disappointing statistics, with only 10 points scored, marking their lowest output of the season. And, of course, tough break for San Francisco fans – The 49ers lost their first game this season, 19-17 to the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday.

Since the 49ers struggled against the Browns’ tough defense, Cleveland’s offense stepped up to secure the victory. The 49ers marched 84 yards in 5 plays, aided by the Browns’ penalties. Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown with Purdy’s pass, extending his scoring streak to 15 games, making it 7-0 in favor of the 49ers. Trent Williams returned in the second quarter. Purdy had an opportunity with a penalty-free play but couldn’t find McCaffrey open. Purdy struggled in the rain, missed Kittle, and fumbled on the next snap. Tough times for our QB.
At halftime, the 49ers led 10-7, but the Browns managed to get a field goal. In the third quarter, the game was tied at 10-10, but by the end of the third, the Browns had taken the lead with a score of 13-10. In the fourth quarter, Dustin Hopkins scored a quick field goal for Cleveland, increasing their lead to 19-17. With the 49ers’ struggling offense, this might secure the win for the Browns.
