Making fun of your opponent is something, whereas insulting them is something else. And George Kittle is walking on the fine line between these two. Kittle’s little stunt at Levi’s Stadium indeed made the audience have a good laugh. The Niners tight end wore a customized jersey inside his red uniform to Levi’s stadium during their clash against the Cowboys.

Although the jersey sent the internet into fits of laughter, it also earned him some criticism from the NFL community. The NFL has strict rules regarding the dress code of the players. George Kittle breached it by wearing a customized jersey. As a result, people all over the world and the TE himself are expecting the authorities to take some action.

Kittle wore the anti-Cowboys jersey that said “F*** Cowboys” and he is not sorry about it. Rather, Kittle felt the moment was worth every ounce of backlash he faced. The TE openly accepted in an interview with NBCS, one in which he appeared smugly proud. “I have heard nothing,” said Kittle when asked about the action from authorities. Furthermore, when asked about what he thinks will happen, he responded with, “Probably to get a fine. I wore a personalized T-shirt, maybe an inappropriate word. It was a decision I made, if they want to fine me, they fine me.” said Kittle. However, his ‘not regretful moment’ might cost him $10k, the NFL’s standard fine for a dress code violation. Yet he would happily “do it again.”

The 49ers brutally battered the Cowboys by simply dominating them on Sunday night with a score of 42-10. The SF tight end received three of the four touchdown passes from QB Brock Purdy and added the perfect finishing touch to the team’s victory with a big “F**k Cowboys” jersey. A moment that will stay forever in the hearts and minds of the 49ers fans. However, the fans fondly remember the original one who pulled the jersey on the Cowboys first.

Former LB Plummer was Kittle’s inspiration

A fact that would surprise the new SF fans, and would make the old SF fans smug in the corner, is George Kittle is not the first one to flip the Cowboys. It was the former linebacker of the 49ers, Gary Plummer, who originally violated the rule and wore the jersey as Kittle.
