Former 49ers player Gary Plummer praised George Kittle for reviving a 1990s celebration style against the Dallas Cowboys, evoking nostalgia among NFL fans. In the 49ers vs. Cowboys game (in which the 49ers won 42-10), TE Kittle displayed a message on his undershirt, taunting the Cowboys during the final quarter.

Plummer commended Kittle for resurrecting a Cowboys shirt he had worn in the ’90s, adorned with some explicit language. Plummer received a deluge of messages and his iconic picture whenever the 49ers and Cowboys clashed. Recently, he was inundated with images of George Kittle and clips from the ‘Pat McAfee Show,’ giving him credit for the same incident in ’94.

In 1994, during a game at Candlestick Park, 49ers’ linebacker Plummer ingeniously adhered to NFL rules by donning a “F— Dallas” shirt in the dugout. After a momentous victory, he proudly revealed it, celebrating their Super Bowl-bound triumph over the Cowboys.

And more recently, as per a report by 49ers on NBCS, NBCS Writer Jennifer Lee Chan caught up with Gary Plummer after George Kittle paid homage to an iconic NSFW photo from the 49ers-Cowboys rivalry. “I just started getting inundated with pictures of Kittle,” the 63-year-old Plummer mentioned to NBC Sports Bay Area. “And then clips of the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ where he gave me credit for coming up with it in ’94.” The ex-linebacker is delighted that Kittle is bridging the gap between the past 49ers’ greatness and the present.

Additionally, Kittle had a picture of middle linebacker Plummer wearing a stylish T-shirt under his football jersey in the 1994 NFC Championship Game on his phone’s lock screen. After the game, the All-Pro tight end sported a T-shirt to honor linebacker Gary Plummer, who played for the 49ers from 1994 to 1997, near the end of his 12-year NFL career.

However, the Cowboys’ players were incensed by Kittle’s display of a “F— Dallas” shirt beneath his jersey during their Sunday night game.

Cowboys star Micah Parsons believed that Kittle’s actions were excessively personal, stating, “I just feel like he’s making it way more personal than it had to be.” He expressed support for Kittle but issued a warning, “Kittle’s my guy, but I’m gonna say this: laugh now, cry later. We got something for that, just trust.” Parsons suggested that if they meet again, it could become a personal rivalry, saying, “If you wanna make it personal, we can make it personal.” Parsons believed his team had a plan to address the situation.

But, according to a recent report from Fox, the 49ers might defeat the Cowboys in the playoffs for the third consecutive time in January, unless an unforeseen turn of events occurs. The 49ers, boasting a formidable team, have only made it to one Super Bowl in recent years, while the Cowboys haven’t advanced beyond the divisional round since the ’90s.
