The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season in a Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets. Jalen Hurts threw three interceptions during the game, resulting in a 20-14 defeat. The Jets’ fans celebrated at MetLife Stadium, while Eagles’ supporters were left frustrated.

This loss marked the end of a five-game winning streak for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the statistics were disappointing for their star quarterback. Jalen Hurts’ performance against the Jets was far from ideal. And now Jalen Hurts finds himself in the company of Jimmy Garoppolo and Mac Jones as one of the few quarterbacks with seven or more interceptions in the first six weeks of the season.

In Week 6, the Jets defeated the Eagles, and ‘Philadelphia Eagles Central’ highlighted the Eagles’ loss to the Jets in the last game, “Jalen Hurts joins Jimmy Garoppolo and Mac Jones as the only QBs in the NFL to have 7+ interceptions through the first 6 weeks of the season.”

For the second time in his career, Hurts tied a career-worst record by throwing three interceptions against a Jets defense that was missing its starting cornerbacks, Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. After the game, Hurts finished with 28 completions out of 45 attempts, accumulating 280 yards and throwing one touchdown to D’Andre Swift.

However, Jalen Hurts had an impressive record, winning 22 out of 23 games as a starter and going on an 11-game winning streak on the road in the regular season. But, after the last game, he expressed his frustration to the press.

To press, QB Hurts stated, “So many missed opportunities and, really, so many mistakes, as if you’re kind of giving it away.” Notably, Hurts scored the game’s first touchdown, giving the Eagles a 7-0 lead after a long 91-yard, 19-play drive that ended with a 3-yard touchdown run.

Are the fans aware that the Jets had never defeated the Eagles in 12 previous attempts until they secured a victory on Sunday?

It took 12 attempts, but the Jets finally emerged victorious

The Eagles hadn’t suffered an away loss since January 2022 when they faced Tampa Bay. The Jets had never beaten the Eagles in 12 previous attempts until their victory on Sunday. The Jets capitalized on Hurts’ third interception and four turnovers, as Tony Adams returned it for 45 yards, providing them with an opportunity to score, despite initially being behind.
