We don’t always get what we want. The statement stands to be the case for the Lions. They will not get some of their best players participating on Sunday Night against the Panthers. The Detroit Lions have maintained a commendable score of 3-1 walking into week 6. Yet the team’s status for their next game on Sunday is uncertain, as some of the star players of the team are placed under the ‘questionable status’.
Injuries have been a constant setback for almost all the teams in the NFL. However, there might be a problem for the Lions now, as some of the team’s important players will not participate in the clash against the Carolina Panthers.

With their clash against the Panthers lined up, the Lions need the best of their players now. But they are in a tough spot. Lions’ WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is suffering from an abdomen injury. The rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs is suffering from a hamstring injury and is in a doubtful position for the Lions’ clash against the Panthers. Even though he is a rookie, the RB has recorded the team’s second-highest 179-rushing yards and 39 carries. These players will most likely not play on Sunday Night.
Lions’ other WR Jameson Williams is also listed as questionable for the game. Furthermore, Williams is also coming off his suspension for gambling. However, Williams is expected to play against the Panthers. Meanwhile, the rookie CB Brian Branch, who is suffering from an ankle injury, is already ruled out from the game.
These players are vital for the Detroit Lions. Detroit has improvised their offensive line and running back combinations to a great extent. That has proved to be extremely beneficial for the team this season. Even the fans agree that if these players aren’t on the field, it will be tough to win for the Lions.
What do the fans have to say about the Lions’ situation?
Fans come in with a whole spectrum of opinions. But there is one thing that many fans agree with. No win without Amon-Ra St. Brown. JamesJett45 believes that the QB Jared Goff is going to have a tough day, as he will have to tackle the game with a lot fewer players. JamesJett45 comments, “No Amon-Ra, no win. The most consistent slot guy in the league out, I don’t see Jared Goff having a positive day.”

On the other hand, some are still confident about the Lions. They think that the team is perfectly capable of defeating the Panthers on their own. 3pointpod wrote, “O Line still banged up. Should still beat Carolina but these injuries are piling up…”
