This just came in from the Detroit Lions PR. Apparently, the Lions’ rookie tight end has broken the record for the number of receptions. Although he sits in the second position, this achievement shows Laporta’s potential as the Lions’ new TE. He had 4 receptions from the last two games against the Chiefs and Seahawks, five in each game. However, according to current developments, he has more than receptions to his name, making it upwards of 14 for the season and still counting.

Sam LaProta has earned the 2 position as a Tight End by adding these receptions to his name in a span of just 3 career games. However, the Eagles’ TE Keith Jackson still holds the first place, undefeated since 1988. It’s a phenomenal start as a rookie for Sam LaPorta.

Not only this, but he also caught he got his first-ever NFL Touchdown following a 45-yard catch, thanks to QB Jared Goff. LaPorta was wide open when he caught the catch and marched straight for his first-ever touchdown. The commentators were in awe of the rookie Tight End. “He’s becoming a star, get the football from a mantle”, said one of the commentators with excitement. As it stands, the Lions have a strong upper hand over the Falcons.

Things are getting heated up between the two teams as the Detroit Lions lead the Falcons with a whopping 13-3 score. From the looks of it, the Falcons might not go home with a smiling face today.

The roaring Lions

The Lions are currently dominating the game, thanks to the QB Jared Goff and the rookie TE. However, it doesn’t mean that the Falcons cannot make a comeback as seen in their last two games. Things are a bit tense, especially for the Atlanta Falcons as they are struggling, but then again, it’s just a matter of a touchdown, for now.
