On this Monday Night Football, the Los Angeles Rams went against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately, the Rams broke their balance and shifted more toward the losing side. The Steelers went home with a stunning 17-24 victory. This made them jump from 3-2 to 4-2 and the Rams dropped to a 3-4.

The Steelers really picked up their pace in the fourth quarter of the match, resulting in their win. The Rams’ wide receiver Puka Nacua has been the shining star this season. His display has been getting a lot of attention. However, it looks like he finally has a worthy competitor, who gives him tough competition to score.

During their match, Nacua found himself overshadowed by Steelers’ rookie cornerback, Joey Porter Jr. Despite leading the league in targets and receptions, he was given tough competition by Porter. The Rams’ star has managed to get 61 targets, 46 receptions, and a total of 572 receiving yards this season. He was in the top 5 receiving yards leaders until Porter Jr. came into the picture.

Porter Jr. restricted Nacua to just three targets, allowing zero receptions and zero yards, alongside an impressive pass breakup. This made him culminate with a low 39.6 passer rating. This stunning performance by Porter Jr. definitely adds to his growing reputation. Not to mention, he has permitted only one reception across six games this season. However, Nacua still managed to score 154 receiving yards during the game and did not harm his candidacy for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

But there was no touchdown that he could add to his resume during the game. The young player has already joined JaMarr Chase to acquire more than 700 receiving yards. Chase and Nacua are the only two players in the NFL to have recorded more than 700 receiving yards in their first 7 games.
