The news from the New York Giants side of things has taken over the internet, and the NFL fans are questioning this odd decision the Giants have made. They are not faring well in the 2023 regular season as they face an embarrassing 1-5 record. Also, they are struggling with a lot of injuries, and amid all of this, they decided to let Cole Beasley go. Now, the Bills fans might want him back.
Well, it makes sense to look at the veteran?s career so far because he has played in the big boy leagues like the Cowboys, Bills, and the Buccaneers. He was not given a chance to play and had an undisclosed injury, but things added up, and both decided to part ways mutually. Let?s have a look at his career.

Beasley started with the Dallas Cowboys and was with them since 2012 for 7 seasons till 2018. Throughout his career with the Cowboys, Cole Beasley amassed most of his numbers with 319 passes, 3,271 yards and 23 touchdowns. But his career after his release from the Cowboys had been a bit slow after he joined the Buffalo Bills for the 2019 season.
He played with the Bills for more than 3 years with Brian Daboll at the Bills? helm. Coincidentally, Daboll is the HC for the Giants now, and he and Beasley decided it would be best if they go their separate ways. In his career with the Bills, Beasley caught 231 passes for 2,438 yards and had 11 touchdowns. The weird thing is that he was a starting player in all these teams for the most part and still has dismal stats.
His Buccaneer career is nearly nonexistent, as he only played 2 games, received 4 passes, and had 0 touchdowns. But throughout his career, he has only fumbled five times. Now that?s impressive. Beasley had played 153 games and had 556 receptions over 5,744 yards and 34 touchdowns in 12 years.
The mystery surrounding Cole Beasley
The news of his departure came out of the blue as the Giants decided to terminate their $1,165,000 relationship without any substantial information. It was disclosed that it was a ?mutual decision? from both sides that Beasley leave. Also, he isn?t listed on the injury reports of the Giants but has been out for the whole season due to mysterious and undisclosed circumstances.
I wanted Cole Beasley to return and mentor Kincaid in the slot for our offense.
It's not about trying to be Cole, but learning spacing in zone, attacking the defense, and becoming a target for Allen.
Would love to have Cole back in the building if he's up for it. #BillsMafia https://t.co/Mrw7bKhLxf

Aaron Quinn from Cover 1 concluded that the Bills should hire the former WR once again so he can show Dalton Kincaid the ropes, helping Josh Allen in the process. Whether his return to the Bills is confirmed, he remains a free agent. Maybe the Bills might sign him as a backup because, as it seems, they are not struggling at all.
