In a recent interview on October 11, 2023, Jason McCourty stated, “What I like about this Detroit Lions team… They have a quarterback, Jared Goff, who played in the Super Bowl. He’s your leader. And then the rest of the guys that I love is they’re young enough to not care.”

He continued, “And when I you have experienced players, you have veterans. Sometimes, that moment, you’re like, I’ve been playing so long to get to this moment. When you’re young, you watch young players go out there and don’t even know the moment you’re in. You don’t care. You’re just young and dumb, and you’re out there having a blast playing football.”

Jason McCourty also believes that the Detroit Lions is a team that can take on anyone and is eligible to compete with the top 2 teams this season. It’s not just because of the team’s bravery or how well they’ve performed this season. It’s interesting to note how the cornerback relates everything he said earlier to prove why the Lions are fit to compete at the highest level.

McCourty discloses the Lions’ best trait

The cornerback explained that he gets some vibes from the Lions team led by Dan Campbell. He added, “Where they lose a game to Seattle… and yeah, CJ Gardener Johnson… they’re talking about wearing a ski mask and the fans and all the extra hype. They lose the game, and nobody’s down inside.”

According to McCourty, there’s something about the Lions team, like swag or energy. They don’t care if they have to go to San Francisco or Philadelphia. They love to enjoy the game and have fun playing football. As the CB said, that’s the vibe the team has.
